Q-Guard™ software is a utility program to aid in the assessment of design requirements for Stormwater Treatment Devices.

The program uses the Rational Method to determine a 1 year Average Recurrence Interval (ARI) peak flow rate for a site or catchment with an adjustment factor applicable to determine the 1 in 3 month ARI peak flow rate.

Most Authorities and regulators set target Design Treatment Flow Rates for Stormwater Treatment Devices at the 1 in 3 month ARI peak flow rate on the basis that this ARI achieves an 80% to 90% treatment of total average annual runoff volumes.

Project data can be saved to disk to assist in assessing Stormwater Treatment Device options and for archiving purposes.

The program includes a library of localities throughout Australia and a flexible library manager to add or modify locality data.
