FAQs
The lightweight composition of FRC™ pipes combined with the longer standard 4m lengths allows for fast and easy installation in suspended applications, improving the efficiency of resources and providing significant cost savings. Please note that James Hardie will not be liable for installation related matters.

Unloading and Handling
Before attempting to unload FRC™ pipes, personnel should be aware of the weight to be lifted.

Preparation
It is essential to be completely familiar with design drawings and specifications, before commencing pipe installation.
Preparation

Pipeline Assembly
FRC™ pipes are simple to assemble and install, requiring no welding, brazing, or other specialised techniques.

Installing Fittings
On suspended systems, FRC™ fittings should be installed in a similar method to the equivalent sized pipes.

Suspending Pipes
FRC™ pipes may be hung from the structure or coupled to it. A range of different brackets can be used to support pipes and fittings however these should be certified by their manufacturer for suitability.

Resisting Thrust
Normal engineering requirements apply to FRC™ suspended pipelines for the restraint of out-of-balance forces generated by internal pressure at changes in pipeline direction.

Testing
The purpose of testing a suspended pipe system is to ensure that the joints and fittings are watertight and that the bracing is capable of resisting the thrust for which it was designed.
