Fire Rated Chutes
For virtually all medium to high rise buildings, the Building Code of Australia requires all ducts (not used for the discharge of hot products of combustion) to be fire rated. This is most easily achieved by constructing a fire rated enclosure from slab to slab around the ducts, incorporating fire rated access doors.
