Supply and install Sanishute™ Disposal Systems as manufactured by James Hardie FRC Pipes, in accordance with manufacturer recommendations.

The main chute pipe shall be 585mm (O.D.) or 512mm (O.D.) FRC™ Pipe extending from 2400mm above the collection room floor to no less than 600mm above the hopper door on the highest level.  The chute can deviate from its vertical alignment (max 35û) and is capped with an eccentric concrete reduction cap.

The main chute shall be installed by the builder as construction progresses.

A 630mm (or 560mm for 512mm O.D.) diameter penetration is to be formed at each floor level the main chute penetrates, and the pipe shall be supported at each penetration with a galvanised support bracket. A 230mm (I.D.) FRC™ Vent Pipe shall be fitted to the reduction cap and extend to a height of 2m above the building eaves. The installation of the vent pipe is not compulsory on linen chutes. The vent pipe on all refuse systems shall be fitted with a Sanishute™ Disposal System continuous operation electric fan and cowl.

A fire rated refuse door and throat assembly shall be installed at each service level.  Overall size to be 550mm square with a 450mm square door opening and fitted with a self-closing mechanism.

A deflection chute (refuse and linen), including rolling door (linen only) shall be installed in the collection room.  The deflection chute shall be fitted with a fire actuated automatic closing facility, which can be overridden manually to close the chute during bin removal and replacement.
